Those are some big jumps in time. If Crow jumped 5000 years into the future he is either 3000 years after Sunrider or there are some big timeline holes.... From the Sunrider Novelization Chapter 12- The Abyss “Hey, look at that!” Chigara’s voice quickened with excitement. “That ship’s almost perfectly preserved! Scanning now… Captain, judging from the radiation leak and decay from its reactor, I’m dating this ship to be almost… two thousand years old! And this ship still has intact lateral markings… it looks like it used to be part of the Ryuvian Princess’ Royal Guard! (Page 129). Chapter 13 - Sola Chigara gasped, her ancient history lessons coming back to her. “B-but that’s impossible! The Sola vi Ryuvia? Of the Ancient Ryuvians? But you died over two thousand years ago!” (Page 138). The page numbers may not match exactly as I've copied and saved it to a PDF file on my computer and have made some grammar changes. Okay now I'm really confused, I'm thinking you must have a typo in your game cause I just loaded one of mine where I was almost to the end so I could zip past the credits and here is what mine says... Deep withing the Mnemosyne Abyss... A mammoth super-dreadnought of unknown origins emerged from warp space. Officer: My liege... The time portal did not work as anticipated... Officer: Instead of being transported to before the battle, we were flung two thousand years into the future instead... Officer: Further, it appears the Farari b***h was also caught in the temporal blast and flung into this time line as well... Officer: Unknown interlopers have destroyed the time device, and thus we cannnot anticipate returning to our time line... Crow: Arggh... Crow: Fool! Officer: I-I beg your forgiveness, my lord Crow... Officer: T-the denizens of this universe appear to be nothing more than primitives... Officer: S-surely, my lord can expect to easily subjugate them for his ends... Crow: Grrgg... Crow: ...Very well... Crow: If I am to be robbed of my victory against the Farari lowbloods, then I shall rebuild our glorious empire here. Crow: Hah! Crow: To the denizens of this strange new land... Crow: Prepare! Crow: For the rebirth of the Holy Empire! Which has now got me wondering when this is happening. Chigara was dating the ships to be 2k years old which they shouldn't be if they were brought through time. Sunrider battles Sola, who surrenders and is taken on board just before the Sharr'Loc explodes nearly vaporizing the Sunrider before it can warp away... If Crow's appearance is after the Liberation Day massacre (with nothing to say it is a flash back or flash forward it is just an assumption) then how would the officer know about Sola? The Sharr'Loc's Final Tear vaporized the ships, and if any of the ships were far enough away to escape the blast they would be 2k years old now. It's always possible that the Final Tear never actually went off, and Sola was whisked away during the middle of the final battle. The Sharl'Loc was in really bad shape, holes all over the place, frozen bodies. The only room on the ship that actually had atmosphere was the Bridge, where Sola was in hibernation. The Final Tear was supposed to consume the life of the Ryuvian Princess as the final catalyst needed to activate it. So what would happen if that Ryuvian Princess where to be whisked away before the life could be drained?

Sunrider was actually my first one, i saw the strat layer and then the art work and the idea of an actual story / character driven strategy game had me hooked right away. It kind of opened up to me what the genre could be, before playing it i wasn't really sure what to expect and the first thing which came to mind was 'porn' it's silly i know but up until actually playing Sunrider i hadn't really looked into it too much, so i was pleasantly surprised to find they could be a very enjoyable experience with stories and characters you actually cared about. Second would have been Ace Academy, then Long Live the Queen, Just Deserts and most recently Crystalline. I've been thinking of downloading the Starnova demo but i have so few opportunities to actually get onto a computer and just play [need to buy a laptop or something for my room, half the time when i do get a chance to go on the computer my brother or one of his kids will jump on it haha but that's off topic] Most recently i've been wanting to get on to play Sunrider Academy, i'm not usually into the whole 'dating sim' style game but if it's a chance to explore the world of Sunrider some-more it should be worth it, the main cast being cute helps as well haha. I got the 'sakura' series on humble bundle as well, not reading up properly on them thinking 'hey that's alot of Vn's this should be fun' but who would have guessed they're quite a bit smuttier then the others i'd tried, i've yet to actually play one of them. To that Sakura part... i must say these games only selling point is the Fanservice and nothing else... this is probably the reason i think many people think of VNs as nothing more than fap material for those who play it... (honestly i couldn't even fap to the Sakura games because i hate those big boobed bimbos which are in EVERY game but thats another story) atleast i haven't seen any real plot or even gameplay (i played Sakura Dungeon because i like dungeon crawlers a lot, it was meh...) Visual novels like Sunrider fall under the radar because these don't get thrown out with a new release every 3 months...(seriously look how many Sakura Games exist after only 3 YEARS... 13 if i havent overlooked any) Eh, I'd say Sakura Fantasy is pretty decent. It actually has a pretty good story, and isn't straight up fanservice like the majority. But yeah, but the Sakura Series is pretty much Shovelware Fanservice as a whole. There are a few exceptions, all of two I think, but it's not really a series worth paying a lot for. Then again, you get what you ask for I guess. a cheap game released every few months. It's 10 dollars full price standard, and can drop down to under a dollar depending on the sale.

The Sunrider games are the first and only vn's I've played so far, which is even more surprising given that they are anime vn's. Before playing them I had never even watched anime, and I was actually a weebophobe (I live in rural SD, USA, not exactly otaku-town). My path to playing S:MOA went something like this: Clicking through discovery que during Steam summer sale(for cards, am I weird for doing that?), sees a hex-based space strategy game(I am a huge fan of both Battle for Wesnoth and Sins of a Solar Empire, so this was like a dream come true), sees free to play, immediately clicks download. Now I am here, confused as to why exactly I love this series so much. Don't put any thought into it. Simply sit down, and bask in the warmth of the corruption.

They actually did write into the script, at some points, how long jumps were. Dependending on the distance, it could take weeks for some of the slower ships in the Sunrider universe. The sunrider was touted as having one of the fastest warp drives around, and even then, it took I believe three days for them to jump to Ryuvia Prime after Asaga was captured by Cullen upon them wapring out of the Abyss, once repairs were complete.
Then there was the battle at Far Port. If I remember corectly, Ava was saying that the second wave of the PACT fleet was 12 hours behind the first wave.
The entire battle of Far Port took at least three days if I remember correctly.
They made plenty of references to the time everything actually took if you paid attention.
The final battle of Liberation Day was basically 2 days long. It took Fontana 14 hours just to get the PACT fleet operational after Alice intervened with her little virus.

I use Visual Novel Reader to supplement what I lack. I can understand spoken at a decent level, readings still pretty poor though, but using Visual Novel Reader for a machine traslator to supplement what I am hearing, I make my way through them. Worth looking into.

Well, my first VN was School Days, a few years ago. I had recently watched the anime, and was ended up doing doing some digging because I was curious. Wasn't that hard to get a copy, compared to some other ones. My opinion of it was, it's a well-written story, but it has a gltitchy engine, and a horrid format, which made it a bear to sit through at times.
Now, while it was my first, there was one I was already hunting for at the time, by the name of Mahou Shoujo Ai. I suppose this is the one that really dragged me into it. I spent I think 6 years digging, trying to find a copy, before finally managing to lay my hands on one, and honestly, it is an amazing series, one I will attest as one of the best.
I picked up others along the way, such as Bloody Rondo, Shingami no Testament, Sunrider, 11eyes, Kara no Shoujo, as well as some smaller ones like Yandere(really fun one mind you)
Bloody Rondo and Shinigami no Testamanet took some digging as well, Bloody Rondo about 3 or 4 months I think. Shinigami no Testament was easier because it was newer.
But yeah, I suppose it was Mahou Shoujo Ai that really set me down the road that is VN's, as in that time searching for it, I would do things like browse VNDB, find intersting ones to look at and download or buy(Shinigami no Testament and Bloody Rondo being two of these), find interesting tidbits of news here and there.

Not sure on Dev commands, but copying in a persistent file from someone elses game who had gotten full unlocks as well should give the same result as copying in your own. Unfortunately, I can't help[ there, as my stuffs pretty scattered.

Sorry. Screwed up my explanation a bit there. Was talking about the backups Ren'py does on your computer of various game files upon running. It creates a hidden folder on your computer where it stores the files when the game runs. The .py, .pyo, and .pyc files you saw in the renpy folder aren't part of the game, but rather part of the Ren'py engine. You don't want to mess with them. The only files you want out of the game folder from your old computer is the /Sunrider Academy/game/saves. If you copy the saves folder over, you should have access to all the bonus stuff, though what you specifically want is the file labelled persitant.
You should actually be okay if you just copy the saves folder over, as the hidden folder mainly functions as a backup, but there can be issue at times. Some games reference it directly, like I know Liberation Day did, but I don't remember Sunrider Academy doing so.
For now, just try copying the saves folder from your old computer over to your new one. Put it onto a flash drive or something, and then drop it into the game folder of Sunrider Academy on your new computer.

What you need is the persistent data, and you'll be wanting both the one in the Ren'py backup folder, and the Sunrider Academy folder.
What OS are you running? Beacause Ren'py does it's automatic backups in different places depending on the OS.

I always found it peculiar that Cossete has English lines from MoA. If you do the route in LD that allows you to use her in the last LD mission, and you have your combat voice lines set to English, she's fully voiced. Well i have the theory she originally was going to be joining the sunrider crew, i always thought it was strange she had a similar jumpsuit like the other girls and even the number 7 on her chest Yeah, definitely a possibilty. Though the plugsuit itself is a suit designed to help counteract the g-forces that the pilots are subjected to during combat, the number 7, which coincided directly with the number of one of the bays in the Sunrider, does make it possible. That does bring up another question though. According to Ava, the Sunrider was built to house a total of 12 Ryders. So far, we've only seen a total of 7 possible applicants, maybe 8 if you were to count L7NN. Even with the Sunrider itself destroyed, it begs the question, who exactly were the other pilots supposed to be? Seeing as in the next installment, we've got Thrawn, Crow, the remmanants of the Alliance, as well as the Pirates, led by Cossete, to face, it wouldn't really surprise me if there were a few surprise guests who show up.

Only thing I can say, is that if Cossete doesn't get a chance for some kind of a happiesh ending where she isn't dead and is no longer consumed by a quest for revenge to the point that she is willing to destroy herself, there is going to be rioting.

The Holy Ryuvian Empire has nothing to fear from this proposed Union. In fact, they are invited to join. Four nations, one government. Everlasting peace will be ensured! You say that, but what about all the atrocities the Avans have commited against the Ryuvians? It's not like we can just sweep those under the rug you know.

Hmm. I'm not liking the look of things currently. The Ava conglomerate seems to be seeking to take action. This does not bode well for the furture of the Ryuvian empire me thinks.

Reposting a corrected version of the current score, since Icari mysteriously gained 100 points while poor Kryska was falsely accused of being eliminated. Ouch. Yeah, sorry 'bout that Kryska.

Holy crap, Icari is going down fast. She's almost tied up with Sola and Asaga. And she had 400 points on the both of them. Thing is most Icari supporters either left Icari or are not able to post right now... seems too convenient actually There's been speculation of traitors on the inside.
