I'll be honest, I don't see VN Routes as a thing in the next Sunrider. When you strap on the combat, it seems like it'd be too much. And maybe this is just my personal opinion talking, but I'd rather for something more dynamic and fluid like how BioWare does their Romances, where the person you end up with isn't the person you choose from a menu, but the person who you talk with the most and talk with correctly, choosing the right dialogues and so forth. And let the other ones down gently. I really like that idea! Especially since we'll probably get a whole lot of "alone time" with Sola emoticon_sola_small in the next game.

Plz let there be a Chigara route with a happy bakery ending. Although Sola is a perfectly fine alternative. I think I'm going to go for Sola's best ending first. Can't wait for dem time travel shenanigans.

You.... want explosion magic? Sadly I do not walk the path of Megumin so I cannot claim expertise on the matter. edit: would be nice to have random days where you can do things like spend a day with a random idol like a mystery event type thing It sounds good in theory, but I think it should be hard-coded in at specific times in order to stay more plot relevant.

First of all, let me just say that I love the music and voice acting. However, some of the voice lines are used quite frequently (thinking of Sasami-chan's "Mah, Mah" line), even when it's not the best place to use them. The music is fantastic, as expected of a good VN. But it kinda makes me feel like the girls only has one song because of the oft-repeated theme. Are we going to get any more VA and/or music sometime down the line?

I was a hardcore Chigara fan until she screwed everything up and turned Yandere. Unfortunately, I then jumped ship to Sola. No more happy bakery ending 4 me...

Nemjen, So then it would be safe to say that there is a very high probability that there will not be gameplay in the release version of Starnova, right?

Funny. I'm the opposite. I kinda regret letting her live. She's a pretty f*cked up person no matter how you spin it. Besides, do you really need to worry about Cosette in addition to Crow and the Prototypes?

I REALLY don't think you should add gameplay in Starnova. Considering that the finished versions of the Sunrider games would still sometimes crash and the fact that bugs will inevitably pop up while programming in games, I don't see any point in spending time and money on game development. Look, the main draw of Starnova for me, and I assume many potential buyers is the story. The tears, the struggles, and the (hopeful) triumph of the girls. I enjoyed the gameplay of Sunrider very much, but I loved the story even more. Listen, LiS. You've said yourself that gameplay was not going to be the focus of Starnova. I'd rather you write and refine this VN into a damn good story rather than making a forgettable game as an afterthought.
Would it actually make financial sense to spend the time and money into making a game that is absolutely non-essential to the main game? I just don't think it's financially wise to do so. Will you get enough extra buyers to supplant the cost of making a game/minigame? Will people appreciate having the story come to a forced stop so they can click a few buttons and play a minigame? I don't think so. Yes, people have said that the games could help fill in the gaps between such scenes. But why couldn't you just do that with a bit of writing? Ya know, crack a couple of jokes here; develop a little bit of character there. I would much prefer that instead.
I would much prefer LiS to entirely ditch the notion of including any gameplay in Starnova. Focus on fleshing out this story. You've already got a pretty decent skeleton. If you remember back to Liberation Day, many people critiqued LiS on focusing too much time on gameplay and not enough on story. You've already made an impression on some fans that your stories can be somewhat lacking. I, for one, enjoyed LD a great deal, but also see that there were many missed opportunities and blemishes on that game. This is the time for LiS to prove to its fans that they can indeed write damn good VNs. Don't stop now! You've already built a good skeleton. Focus on fleshing it out! Don't build another skeleton that you don't need! If you can show us that you can write good stories and make most of your critics and fans happy with Starnova, then I feel like you can inspire a lot more confidence about the quality of your next Sunrider installment. Best of luck!

uguu, I've got a few (but not all) for Mariya's route. I'll send you a list when I have more time on my hands. But for now, I'll give a couple of glaring date errors.
Mariya’s arc. The flashback scenes start with Dec 2006 for Mariya’s interview with Golden Calf. However, the next scene’s date shows March 2006. It wouldn’t make sense to go back in time. Can you fix this? Also, why’s Mariya wishing Takeshi a Merry Christmas in March?
At the end of Mariya's route, if two years have passed, why is it still 2018?

I became a Patron a few days ago, and I haven't read Nemu's route yet. I really love the story, and I congratulate LiS for doing a great job with another VN. However, while this beta route was good, it did have some problems. I'm going to reread mariya's route a second time, so I'll post a second post a few days later, but this my main issue right now. Why did Kana forgive Shiro so readily? If she never really held any grudges against Shiro in the first place, why did she take so long to even talk to her? I don’t see how Shiro could have truly became center of Quasar to “protect” the girls when 1) Kana was able to protect the girls so much better and 2) things start going down the shitter once (and even a bit before) Shiro takes over as center. This makes Kana’s entrance almost a deus ex machina. Why did Kana not appear before the finale of the idol Grand Prix? I think there are a few places where she could have appeared earlier. For example, when Starnova announced their challenge to Quasars and made their philosophical differences clear, Kana could have appeared to Mariya in private and gave her encouragement, since she had a similar philosophy while she was the center of Quasar. Or maybe even arrange a private meeting with Shiro after Kamijou announced her retirement at the Idol Grand Prix. idk, maybe writing in a deus ex machina is OK, but this freak timing and Shiro's subsequent actions just seem weird. However, I'm really really glad that Kana made an appearance in the main story. I only wished that she had more screen time and dialogue with Mariya, but since they weren’t particularly close, I don’t see how you could change that. In Kana’s first lines of the game, she says, “I wish I had never become an idol!” I’m sensing a disconnect between this line and her personality displayed throughout the rest of this route. Instead of being anguishly distressed, she seemed depressed and willing to roll over like a dead puppy. // With that being said, I can't wait to have this game on Steam! (even though it looks like at the current pace, I shouldn't expect the release date to be earlier than May 2018 ) Oh, and just as a request, can you make it so that Sasami-chan isn't actually a mind-controllable android set out to enslave or destroy mankind? You really broke my heart when you did that with Chigara ...Buuuuut speaking of androids, maybe you can do something extra with Stella? One more comment before I decide to turn in for the night. I'm glad that my last decision really impacted the outcome of the game. It made me feel like the weight of the world rested on my pivotal position. However, the first and only other decision didn't really change anything. I would be very happy if you allowed the reader to choose more options that affects the game in the long run. They don't have to be major, but for example: accepting a cigarette from Mariya in ch.1 would make her call you a hypocrite in later chapters when you tell her to stop smoking. But basically, more options, and therefore more dialogue would make me very happy.
