Hi, fate here. I actually noticed something interesting in the game recently. It's that each character has a specific change in accessories and/or clothing through each individual route, and they don't seem to last very long, even considering they look well made. I've only played Mika and Julie's route, though I don't doubt there is something in it for Nemu and Mariya.
Considering these are exclusive for specific characters and seen only sometimes, how about we add an economy-based mini-system? Now hear me out: Why not get "points" for actions such as making choices or finishing a route. The main menu could have a tab called "clothing store" unlocked and you'll be able to buy Miraya's waitress outfit, Blacksong outfit (Mika), Hair dye (Julie), and so on. On purchase, the original files would just be replaced by the special outfit ones, and you'll be able to see the character in new clothing/accessories when you play the game through another time.
It's a random idea I had and I expect you not to take this seriously, though it's pretty simple and you guys have nothing to lose so i thought about posting it. Hope it helps!

So let me start this off by pointing out that everyone did a really good job!
Mika's route was absolutely adorable and kawaii all the way around. Her character is just meant to be like that and is displayed well throughout the course of the game.
I have a few disappointers that i have to name though:
•Dialogue has some spelling errors. Namely "an European..." is not correct, and could afford bad publicity if not fixed (i'm well aware that if you make a visual novel in English, and have no errors whatsoever, people will enjoy the novel more. I mean, seeing spelling errors in such long stories are normal, but it naturally makes us uncomfortable reading the rest of the dialogue.)
•Storywise, I didn't like that "mr. Producer" ended up saying that he only made Mika feel good because he wanted to see her happy, nothing mentioning his feelings. Though i do understand that you guys have characterised him as a person who doesn't show feelings easily, but just like Ava in her Happy Ending in Liberation Day, the way mr. producer did "it" was not the "I'm just doing it to make her happy" kind of way to do it.
• Mr. Producer's name was never discovered, I'm really bummed because i was on the edge of my seat when he told the girls that he used to be an idol himself.
• So after the credits start rolling, we're hit with a "4 years later" sequence. We see Aki change almost completely, only her twintails and bossy-ass face looking at you that are recognisable, none of the other characters change at all, which I was slightly upset about since it filled me with hope of thinking "I can't imagine how X turned out".
All in all, i have very few complaints in comparison to my two thumbs that are up! You guys did a great job and I'm extremely sorry not to have contribute you sooner, i missed my chance to get two great stories behind me and i doubt my current monthly fee will be enough to get the full game.
I also have to point out something very important to me. The scene at the live house, where the girls were busy with their live, the dance instructor comes by and remarks on how much Mika has grown. ... You end up replying with "No homo,but..." ... This made me laugh hard enough to upset the neighbors. I would have expected a reply such as "I'm not gay, but" or "I'm straight, but", but that just made my huge lols a lot more intense. Thanks for that haha.
Currently testing Julie's route. Please do expect my feedback in a few days!

Have you definitely included the Mika RPA file from the Patreon post? Without this the route had no assets to call upon. OH! Thank you for pointing that out! I never payed attention to it, so i have to thank you for that! Aside from the missing files, I finished the game and would like to deliver feedback! Please do let me know where i can do just that!

In the init.rpy there is a line called config version that we use to identify which version of the game is been used. Both of these tracebacks are returning this as ShiningSongStarnova 0.5 which would suggest that either it is patreon beta 0.5 (Mika) or another version like the Steam/Denpasoft demo that has been modified. The Steam and Denpasoft demos are their own thing, they shouldn't be updated with elements from the beta. It's not that it won't work (and if it does that's a bonus) but more it distorts feedback and is not a method we are looking to support. Additionally the core files for each beta shouldn't be exchanged with each other as this again distorts feedback, the only files that should be moved between betas are the route files: - *character*route.rpy - *character*Data.rpa Mika is a special case as the build did not include her archive file, this is available on Patreon as MikaArchive.rpa: - mikaroute.rpy - MikaArchive.rpa I have done as you requested and everything is working well again. I am however experiencing a lack of graphics again. Namely the scene where Producer-san has to act on as Lightwing. Also the kinky (where you make Mika "feel good") scene is missing, which i'm actually grateful for. Just wanting to update my feedback, I hope i could be of use. EDIT graphics that are missing are mikacg1e,mikacg2e,mikacg3e and so on... I just get a gray screen. There is also a traceback recorded:

So sprites in Starnova are made up when up to six sections come together, these sections are populated by defined abbreviations which represent the various sprite assets for that character. These sections are: - Base - Blush - Mouth - Eye - Eyebrow - Tears This error indicates that the base is missing so when the game is calling for its value and nothing is getting returned. I have had a look at the common.rpy file in 0.5 where this error is occurring and can see a definition for kaoc (the base) at line 12385 which would suggest something has not loaded correctly in the save you are using. The easiest way would be to start a new game and let everything flow as it should do but considering this is quite far into the common route I would suggest just jumping back to the start of the section prior to where the base is defined. - Press shift+o to open the developer console. - Type: jump MAY222017 - Press enter - Type: exit - Press enter Read back to said scene and with everything now correctly defined and therefore no more exception. // In regards to your issue with background these names have not changed at any point between the versions and therefore I would suspect either something has not loaded correctly, the game has restored to a state which was not appropriate (as the result of a traceback) or there is an issue with the download you have. If you are still a Patreon backer I would highly recommend downloading the new 0.6 beta and trying your save here as this will give you a fresh download with all relevant files. Some of the files were missing, though thanks to Julie's route, i could merge the misc files in with Mika's route ( the problematic patch of the game ). Thank you for your advice and keep up the amazing work!

Thanks for your reply. I've tried restarting the game but i'm still left with errors.

It's probably just some of my files that may be missing? Maybe i downloaded it wrong or something of the sort. I'll try redownloading it to see if there is a difference.

I've been getting errors on missing files, as well as my graphics missing (though i can't expect much as i know this isn't a finished version of the novel.). This happened right before getting to the TV show in chapter two. Many errors occurred, most of which i ignored and saved at a point where the novel was playable again. I happenned to snatch a traceback of an error however: dialogue

This is just images missing so I understand why the errors occur, i'm unsure if this post is of any effect, but it's better to be safe than to be sorry.
On a similar note, many of the backgrounds only displayed the name of the images (for example: drinking1 -> drinking11).
I hope this could help, though i understand if it doesn't.
Fate.
