Better make a post before today ends. Will try to put my creative writing class to use tomorrow and write something interesting.

Afraid to attack the Icarians. Fricken fanatics is what they are. I'm just shocked and amazed that the blue-haired-one didn't instantly get nuked into low points. She's been just kinda chilling there, not doing too bad nor too good.

Theresa stood outside the high commander's room, her resignation form in hand. It was early in the morning, still dark, and the hallway lights near her lit up automatically as they sensed her presence. She readjusted her bandages. They were way too uncomfortable. Did they make them out of sandpaper? She was just happy she could get them off soon. Skyler knocked on the commander's door. No answer. She had no idea why he sent her a message in the middle of the night, but she wasn't exactly happy about it. She knocked again, harder. Still no answer. Screw it. She let herself in.
Inside, the commander was passed out on his desk next to a half eaten pizza. Fantastic. Behind him she saw his wall covered in a web of theories and speculation. She decided to let him sleep a little longer, as Her curiosity had been peaked. She approached the back wall, grabbing a cold piece of pizza off the desk.
Rellek bolted awake, suddenly doused in water. He looked up to see Skyler smiling down at him, gently placing an empty bottle on his desk. As if he wasn't off guard enough already. "Good morning, kid." The alpha huntress welcomed him to consciousness. "What's all this?" she gestured to the wall behind him. "Oh yeah, that. I've been trying to figure out..." "I know what it is, idiot." she interrupted. "I meant you believe me. No one else does." "Yes!" He said turning to face his notes. "There's no way Harper wouldn't have known the reactor would survive that blast. There's definitely more to this than HQ is willing to believe." "You've done some work here, but your organization is garbage. May I?" she gestured to the wall. "Of course. I was hoping I could get your help on this. You and I seem to be the only people who know anything." Rellek replied. At that moment, Rellek received a notification on his holo. "What was that?" Theresa asked him out of curiosity. "A mission from the general." He held his holo out for her to see. "Think you're up for shooting a douchebag?" he asked. Skyler skimmed through the message. "Sure, this guy sounds like a special kind of asshole. Why not?"

Which that much and hard RL that I had, I had really NO time to write in this Forum, but I finally I'm back! Lets start the battle again!
The sky was dark. The poor moonlight illuminated the bloodstained, pale face of a battle-hardened soldier.
Vladek raises his head. Looks above the field in front of him. Endless corpses. Slaughtered. Slaughtered for their heretical belief in the false waifu. He doesn't remember, how long he was here, how long this battle rages on. He even doesn't remember his former personality. After days of war, days under the hellish noise of battle; after days without sleep or eat, he was a shadow of his former self.
There was a time, in which he was a great commander. He was even the premier-president of the tsun Empire. But the heretics attacked his Caravan and escort without warning. He and his entourage had to escape into the forsaken mountains of Kaz'Yardan, in the southern end of the main land mass. Only few survived. With his honour guard, they fought day and night against the infidels. Claudish fools. Kryskian traitors. Mercenaries without honour and pride. Wave for wave they tried to kill Vladek. Tried to dishonour Icari-sama.
But the true soldiers of the goddess will never give up. The loss were big. Only Vladek survived at least, all his comrades, all his loyal friends – dead. The band of friendship, forged in fierce battles all over this world, finally broke in the fire of war. But now, even the last enemy was down. Hundreds of enemies felled in the canon fire of Icari-samas great warriors; thousands of this heretics felled by the Katanas of Vladek and his guard.
Now, months after the ambush, Vladek finally activated the rescue-beacon. He could feed from the corpses for a long time, but still he hopes, that the Tsun-Forces will receive his signal soon. With a mad smile he glances to the starless sky, knowing that his live will never be the same. The heretics wanted his death. They wanted to take him Icari-sama away. But they have created a monster. He will not stop until every enemy is dead. He will not stop until the whole world is united under his great empress, and all of the false waifus are enslaved or killed. He load through his pistol and wiped all the blood on the Katana away. As soon he can leave this barren mountains, he will start an unforgiving crusade. A quest of revenge, which should color the lands with blood.

vladek Glad to have you back. You have missed a lot of stuff since you went inactive, my man. Mainly Rellek and me are basically trying to write a cohesive and interesting story. We are trying our best to incorporate the things others write too, as long as they meet a certain quality standard, aren’t contradictory, and make sense in the context of the world we are trying to build.

Thanks for the welcome back! I hope it isn't because you like me?!? Yep, i've seen and read your stories. After all I was a Little bit confused due the fact that Charles is set in a medieval/Early modern period and your (and Relleks/Soul corrupter) is set in a today/sci-fi/original Sunrider era. I just set the name to "Amur IV" (I think it's nowhere defined which planet it is?!) and yeah, assumed that it's in the sunrider-sci-fi universe. If this is false, just assume that Vladek had a hard hit on the brain and rescue him I will fit your Story as soon I seen through btw. we should do this in a extra thread?

There is no order to it, you just have to make sense of it as you go along. I always imagined it was a mix of the Sunrider universe and a standard sci-fi universe because I don't know much about the parts of the universe where the Sunrider has never been, and I want to take some creative liberties. I just imagine that charles is a delusional mercenary who actually thinks he's fighting the Polish Commonwealth.
If we split the thread I feel like one of the two resulting threads would get far less traffic, so I'm not sure.

Rellek sat on the commander's seat of the T.E.S. Black Falcon, the T-STF's flagship. It made him feel in charge, powerful even. "Sir, we have arrived in the Amur system" a cheerful beta huntress reported. "Good, commence the refueling operation. Remember, we are in hostile territory. We must be careful." he said in an over the top commander voice. The huntress giggled at him. The chair's ego boost was making him look like a fool, or at least it would, if that was anywhere near out of the ordinary for him.
They were en route to Lamont Enterprises. Normally Rellek didn't go on missions, but in critical cases such as this one, he had to be nearby so his subordinates could get messages to and from him quickly on the field. That and he really wanted to be their when this target bit the dust. Their target was Francesco Lamont, Billionaire playboy. He was known for slavery, drug trade, general hedonism and douchiness, but he had money, so the law ignored him. Just thinking about it made Rellek's blood boil. If there could be an anti-Rellek, this guy was it. He just wished he could pull the trigger himself. No, decapitation would be better. Wait, first we torture him, then we...
"Sir!" shouted the delta huntress operating comms, breaking him from his increasingly malevolent thoughts. "We've picked up a distress signal! It's the Prime Minister!" "Well? What are you waiting for? Tell him we're coming for him!" He replied. They'd found the missing Prime Minister! He was sure they'd get medals for this. Maybe a resort planet to govern. Okay, maybe not that much. He'd have to bring the minister along on the mission though. The longer Lamont lived, the longer both he and Vladek would have assassins on their tails, so there was no time to return to the capitol. It was probably for the best, this way they could watch each others' backs. "Set course for Amur IV!"

Nah, I’m against splitting threads since this story is directly tied to the forum game. When we were attacked by Sola supporters for instance we reacted by writing the “Headquarters battle arc”, where heretics and Solans were our main antagonists. It’s not a random coincidence, it’s all tied to the game.
We only have to agree to a few basic boundaries. So far nothing we wrote suggest space travel and I’d rather keep it this way. It just adds unnecessary complexity and confuses people.
In my opinion:
- Setting modern/futuristic a la deus ex. Most weapons/warfare are conventional, some futuristic tech. (Rellek’s cybernetic arm.) - All empires on the same planet. (An alternate earth.)

#Team17thCentury for the win
Vandergrift was helping Quartermaster by checking supplies they bought and how much Hahnreitern have now. In the same time, he was writing everything in a report. He was quite good at it - before he joined Hahnreitern, Godfried Vandergrift had been destinied to follow trace of his father as a merchant. His father hired tutors for him to teach young Vandergrift many useful things. As a result, Godfried Vandergift was bit bookish, but very smart boy, speaking fluently Claudin, Avanii and Chigarot. He could count and read, knew quite much of geography and knew basics of economy and trade. Unfortunately, Johann Vandergrift died from heart attack when Godfried was 15, leaving his family with unpaid debts, that happened due to very risky investition of Vandergrift senior in tulips, which backfired horribly. Soon, Vandergrifts of Oostereinde had to sell their house. Young Godfried with his mother decided to regain their lost glory. They started trading again. One day, Godfried was personally leading caravan when it was attacked by brigands. Guards were killed or ran away. When it seemed that Godfried would join his father, group of cavalrymen saved him. Those were Hahnreitern. Godfried then decided to regain the money in a diffrent way. He enlisted to the company. While clumsy at the beginning, he survived long enough to gain some skill and his knowledge made him useful. Finally they finished, Hahnreitern had food and water for some time and innkeeper got his money. Hahnreitern were preparing to leave, rolling up tents, extinguishing campfires and overall taking their things with them. Heidrun was talking with some sergeants. Joachim was sitting on some bench and looking at his men with slight grin, weirdly content with his life. - Good morning - Guessing from voice, it was Archibald - You're leaving now? - Yes. We are bit in hurry. Asagians won't be in Vospad forever. - Come on, you can wait few hours at least. After all, Icari doesn't want to hang around in her travels either. - Oh really? Usually royal processions take ages to reach their targets. - Well, not with our beloved ruler. Oh look, there she goes. Joachim looked behind. King Icari went outside looking for someone. Seems she looked for her Court Chamberlain, as when she saw him he immediatly led her steps in their direction. Then she noticed Joachim. She froze in place, her face pale as snow. Then it turned red. She instantly grabbed handle of her sabre. Icari looked around herself. There were people everywhere, and while most of them were taking care of their things, some actually looked at her doings and tried not to giggle. Icari released her sabre and straigthened up. With a gesture she ordered Archibald to come. - Well, seems i have to go. See you later on a road. Archibald left Joachim alone. Well, this will be an interesting journey Joachim thought. Finally, Hahnreitern took off, together with royal procession. There was a bit of quarrel when it came to decide who goes on front, but finally a compromise was made and both columns rode next to each other. As Archibald promised, they weren't travelling at snail's speed. At one moment Joachim had to go to bushes. He went to some groove and took a piss. When he was done, he turned around and saw Icari herself. This wasn't good. - Your Divine Maje- - Take your weapon out - she cut him midsentence, pointing her sabre in his direction. - Excuse me, what? - I want to duel again, hic et nunc! - And I do not. - Huh? - she raised her eyebrow and came closer, putting her sabre on his throat - Are you afraid of defeat? - Actually, yes. Icari's eyebrow went even higher. She put her sabre away. - Excuse me, what? - Oh, this is simple, you're just much better fencer than me. Even before, I had problems with defeating you, and I only managed that because, well... - Because I was in drunken rage? - Well, yes. She looked at him for few second with attention, as if to see any kind of lie in his face. Then she jiggled. The jiggle truned into laugh. - Hahaha! Nuda Veritas! - laughed king. - You are, sir, asinus asinorum! Joachim wasn't sure what that meant, but he was sure that it wasn't Icarian and that she was berating him now. Whatever. - Well, yes. Can we go back to the rest of people now? - Of course. - she gave him way with a smile - Ladies first.

(Rellek’s cybernetic arm.) - All empires on the same planet. (An alternate earth.) Well, gentlemen, now that I see that you want to discuss the fact that confuses most of the people, we can do it. First of all, you have to notice the fact that it was I who started whole story bullshit and I fully intended to go the way you see now (well, besides Asagian stuff, that shit was quite random, but you have to admit it really pushed the storyline forward). Second of all, we're bit too far for me to suddenly change my style. And tertiary, I'm simply bad when it comes to writing about modern stories. The wars of the past were simplier. tl'dr NO. We can make some form of compromise, either by accepting some kind of retro-futurism or just everyone writing in their own way.

@all, I (will in the next hour) edit my post to fit an Reto-futuristic style. I think that would be the best solution, Charles is right with his Argument that he started the whole Thing. End at least his writing is great AT least we can use warhammer40k as a kind of template: We CAN use futuristic techs, but at least there is still lot of melee, battle are fought in some kinf of medieval style and all factions use still cavalry. May we modernize the muskets to some kind of high-energy Muzzleloaders? But, just btw, can we find a planet name? Terra? Gaia? or just Earth? edit: my post is edited, will now fit the Scenario I think.

We’ve been doing our own thing for the complete past arc now, there are a few references here and there but we’re basically telling a separate story to be honest.
There were already too many contradictions, so we decided to just do our own thing I guess. I think it’s best if everybody just keeps writing their story. It’s not possible to synchronize both in a coherent way at this point.

I just translate everything by replacing actions with their alternate era counterparts. A musket is an assault rifle and vice versa. An E-mail is a horse riding courier, etc. As for who started the narratives, it doesn't really matter that much. I was a rogue space captain committing war crimes back when I first showed up here. I joined the Tsun empire as penitence and then started working for my new overlords. That's where the narrative started for me. Pick your style and write. We'll incorporate things wherever it makes sense. I plan on conforming to Blackhead because he and I do a lot of back and forth stuff personally, but I like seeing multiple genres telling the same story.

I always imagined it as a modern/scifi setting, but using WW1 military tactics. Waifu wars apparently transcend time and space. They are also brutal as hell.

Amos was on guard duty with the grunts, again. He'd long ago realized that the other officers were rigging the drawing of straws so he'd always get picked for dealing with the enlisted. He didn't mind too much. Looking out across the No-Man's-Land and dealing with rash privates was preferable to the bureaucratic mess and mountains of paperwork his fellow officers had to deal with.
The front line was surprisingly tranquil on their edge of the world. Amos had figured that the more powerful nations would have quickly leveled their humble republic before engaging in any full on wars. As strong as their armor columns were, the Kryskards had only a fraction of the manpower the more prominent nations had. He just hadn't expected the apathy towards the Kryskard Confederacy to be so pronounced. That or the burning hatred for the Claudese Theocracy was holding the attention of the major parties in the war at this juncture.
Not all the attention, though. Sirens rang out as a flight of Icarian Bombers soared towards the nearby fields. Most of them were sleek and black, but the lead was adorned in a garnish yellow. The tail-tell sign that their ace, Vladek, was out to pick at their defenses again. Whatever they had done to occur the wrath of someone like him, Amos hadn't the faintest idea. All he could do was update command and get his men to the safety of their bunkers.
"This is bullshit!" A private bellowed. His obnoxious cries stood in contrast to the deep, muted thumping from above. "Why aren't we even firing back? At least give those fanatics a token resistance!"
"Listen, kid," Amos said as he leaned back in his chair and fiddled with the radio equipment, "Have you even seen the artificial sunrises coming up from the Claudese? Orders from the higher ups say no fighting back against the Icarians. The longer we can stay under the radar, the longer we can keep our fairly peaceful lives."
"Is that all we are going to do now? Roll over and wait to get pounded into the ground? They've been slowly chipping away at us, and the others! The least we can do is give them a proper fight!"
"Heh, it wouldn't be a fight, kid. It'd be a massacre. We hold the line here. We poke and prod the less defended supply lines while the bigger forces occupy themselves in their battles. We pray that the Icarians still honor the bonds our namesakes held so long ago. Its really all we can do at this point."
