There's one canon girl, she'd be the canon girl for the anime, they couldn't change that. Look at what happened with Rem and Emilia. Or just go watch Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate, because they did that there too. As both a reader and a watcher of Re: Zero... damn I love Rem. Stuff better get better for her.

Big Fire Emblem Fan here, played since Savred Stones. Managed to snag a SE.
Fates was a disappointment story wise, but gameplay wise and character wise I feel like it did well. I just hope we don't get more Pokemon-style multiple releases. Sacred Stones did split route best.
On another note, I've played them all but Thracia and Gaiden now. I've gotta say each is an improvement over the last in many ways, but also trips on stuff the last got right.

Anyone watching Re: Zero? Went in with low expectations, then watched all the episodes from 2AM-about 4:30AM. I've tried not to spoil anything though Wikipedia spoiled one small thing for me. It's been really REALLY good. Reminds me of a mix of Konosuba and Rokka no Yuusha.

I need to post my EU4 game. Almost all of South America under the Holy Ryuvian Empire, a good 1/4 of NA, and have launched an invasion of Britain with my Franco-Aragonese allies- 3 wars, taken Georgia, Florida, and All of Ireland. Also freed and vassalised a rump Scottish state. Probably the best game I've ever had, Ironman of course.

Depends on whom you ask, I guess. I don't think it has much in common with Sunrider, and it represents in so many ways the things that are unbearable for me in anime. Games like that are (rightfully) responsible for the bad stigma anime holds in the west. It would easily make it in my "worst 10." Fiar enough, I was just saying what I hear. I have two other VN's besides Sunrider. Both were gifted to me trying ot get me into VN's, and neither I've played to completion. One is Nekopara, the other is My Girlfirned is the President. I found the second distasteful and stopped playing, the first I haven't started. I'm not a fan of gratuitous nudity or sex. That being said, as someone who really got into anime just a few years ago, always thought HS DxD was the worst of the worst. Then I lost a bet and had to watch it. I actually enjoy the plot in that show, just not the plot. That is, it has an interesting backstory in a way, similar to Maoyu (SP?) where Demons are good, or at least Morally grey, and has a well fleshed out story. I just wish they didn't package it in Ecchi as it prevents me from watching it to much. Again... got into this a a Turn Based RPG fan, stayed for the story (and SOLA. SOLA SOLA SOLA SOLA SOLA. Rightful Empress Sola, Sola the great!)

I really regret joining the Paradox Community with Victoria II. I've now played HOI3 and EU3+EU4. Sunk a good 2,000 hours in those games combined... they are just so damn fun, and the lack of railroading means you can play them 1,000,000 times and never get the same exact game.
Fun Fact: In EU4 I am going for the First Come First Serve Achievement, so I made the Custom Nation Holy Ryuvian Empire. Unfortunately, I used the Dutch Republic government so withing 4 years Stadtholder Kayto was kicked to the curb for some 6/3/6 scrub. (It requires you to take over the Americas as a custom nation, whilst Dutch repubic can technically have rulers rule for life- but never the very first ruler).
Anyways- kick their butts in the name of one of the best girls in Sunrider!

R-Type command comes to mind for Turn Based Space Game. Some of the ships even have super powered Wave Guns. Sadly, only one was made available to the USA.
Fire Emblem is a medieval TRPG. It's always had a good story but the two most recent, similar to the old Thracia one, also have pairings and even children.
I here Nekopara is a good VN.
I ain't a VN person in general, definetely a TRPG person, but I do enjoy good stories. R-Type Command has a pretty boring story, but I've seen worse. If you just want to be a privateer, assemble a fleet that doesn't fight on your side, you could play Sid Meier's Pirates. It's on both PC and iOS.
I can't think of any others off the top of my head. I wish they would make a good Gundam or Space Battleship Yamato strategy/tactical game, would play that to the end of days.

Oh I trust y'all. Y'all aint led me wrong yet, and I will probably play the base game a coupla more times at least before it comes out. I literally have no complaints about it. I know their was a bit of a scuffle over the voice actors. I did turn it to english for a bit, jsut trying to hear the good old "I'ma Firin' Mah Lazers!" bit.
Besides Sunrider there really aren't any other Space TRPG's (R-Type Command was good but ended to soon- one single release in the West), and even the more dedicated ones (Fire Emblem for instance) is veering more into VN/TRPG hybrid territory.
All in all, if I want to play a TRPG I will play good ol' Chess. But I will always play the Sunriders so long as you make them- I know I praise yall alot but it's the truth. You've made a good many fans.
Besides, the story is great. Again, I called some stuff but not all. And I already have pet theories on the Origins of Ryuvia, Cera, and the other major factions, as well as what will happen to each character. I've been wrong on one so far, arguably two, so I may not be right but at least I'ma theorizing.
Anyway's, lot's of words to say that I look forward to the new DLC. And I look forward to whatever adventures the SR crew has next, whatever shape they take.

Bah sorry to double post, I don't know if you will even read this TBH, however, I just finished the game after 4-6 hours straight. Did the same thing I did in the last one ASAP, ensuring SOla could fire twice a turn. My gosh the end. I know I heard that it got alot of hate, and I called 2 of the 3 big things that happened (one only after the last battle), but it was so great. Y'all did a GREAT job. I know y'all hear the grippers so I want you to know I definetely feel like I got my money's worth. I ain't a huge VN fan, more of a turn based RPG player, that's how I found this series, but both the battles and story were A+. Thank you for making this!

All right, hope you enjoy it, and look forward to the free DLC, which should launch soon...ish. Thank you! I haven't had a chance to play it yet do to work still getting in the way, but it's downloaded. I loved the first one, and I will get Academy eventually. The fact that this series has developers who directly talk to the fans really sets it apart, I know I will enjoy it .

Update. I haven't managed to snag a second job, but the Steam sale but it under 20$ so I was able to justify buying a game for myself. Thank you to the creators, and, well. Yeah. Just wanted to let you know.

Ah okay, thanks you two, and thank you Samu. I guess you are one of the developers? Regardless, I ain't gonna throw a stink. Is it a little frustrating? Yes. But I can wait for a sale or until I get some money and get the game. It ain't your fault this happened, it isn't Patreon's fault (though I wish they kept better records), it isn't anyone's fault, just a bad situation all around. I figured I would try in case I could get the game without shelling out money, but as I said I will wait. I can be patient . Anyways, thanks again everyone. Hopefully I can find a better job soon, and I can't wait to get the game and join y'all in space.

Howdy, I posted on Patreon, but I am just making sure. Back in late 2015, maybe early 2016, I backed Love in Space, 20$, for a coupla months. I got in Beta .9, in fact still have the email. Unfortunately, I lost my job and could no longer support Love in Space. I saw their post that they did not have a list, couldn't get people the game, etc if they quit. Is there anyway if I still have the emails I can prove I was a backer and get the game? I don't know the right forum, I have a new job but I went from a bank to working at Wal Mart. I don't have the money to buy the game, I guess I can wait for a sale if they ever had one, but it is rahter annoying I paid 20-40$, if it was for two months more than the game itself, and don't get a copy.
