I don't know if I'm alone here, but I love game music. Even if I dislike a game, I can play it for the music a lot of the time.
Starting off, of course: While it was all free stuffs cept for the awesome intro/ED, I really like Sunrider's soundtrack. Each song fits perfectly, in my opinion. Along with Sunrider, I also love the music from the Touhou games (though i never listen to any of the remixed stuff, honestly). Persona 3 Portable, I think, had my favorite ED, since it fit perfectly. Valkyria Chronicles had several BGM songs that were iconic to me, as well.
What about you guys? What game has the best BGM or Intro/EDs to you?
edit: Changed Favorite to be the non-American way because that's how all the others are.

Another spirit of the subsection thread for all you bookworms. In terms of reading I am trying to finish 'No Game No Life' vol 3 as the 4th is just round the corner now and I keep getting distracted before I can make any considerable progress. I don't actually have a great deal in terms of a collection, 42 volumes in total but I hope to get a few more the next time Wordery have a discount event. In terms of my favourite in that stash I would have to go with Monster Musume as I tend to skim through it when I need a mood booster (a very daft series). I guess for argument's sake we can also include visual and kinect novels if you are running low on ideas hmm? No Game No Life is great and it should get that second anime adaption! In terms of manga n' stuff, I'm currently reading some 4-koma as well as Shokugeki no Souma. I am eternally reading Gunslinger Girl, however, and I want everyone ever to read that. I also like reading web novels and light novels howeve,r and I think my favorites of the bunch I'm reading right now are Mushoku Tensei (the redundancy chapters at least, sicne the main series ended) and Hikaru ga Chikyuu ni Itakoro. I also am reading a bunch more of the "transported to another world" series. The silliest one I like is Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear, thouh it's very basic and it is so light-hearted and devoid of real conflict so far it's there for laughs. Since I'm currently living in Jpan, I don't relaly have access to really any new American/Western novels without paying a lot more for it, but I'm a re-reader so it's cool. I like the Kingkiller Chronicles the most. I'll re-read dat stuff till the end of time. My favorite Visual Novel is Planetarian, followed by Tsukihime, Fate/Stay, and (oddly, imo) Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate. Sharin no Kuni is also great. I just finished reading Eden, and I wasn't actually all that impressed by it. It's still good tho, and is on sale on Steam. It's worth a read. Pretty short as it's a kinetic novel that lasts about 8 hrs unless you are delibereately going slowly.

Vaendryl, look, Samu-kun finished Valkyria Chronicles, so you should too. Also, Samu-kun, I do have a question (off-topic and stuff, so no worries about ignoring it), because it felt like a pretty big coincidence (a happy one that is) but was Chigara based at all off of Isara and Alicia? Or is that a taboo typa rude question? I don't think she's based off Isara in particular, by the time I played ValkChronicles, Chigara's character was already almost set. The major contribution ValkChronicles made for Sunrider is the gameplay innovation that a unit could perform more than one action in a single turn. I'd say she's just based on a lot of characters of the same type, like Karen from Sky Girls or Tsukasa Hiiragi. Thanks for the reply! That's a relief to know. Now I feel less guilty about holding a grudge against her from Academy. Though I feel a little bit of a pang because of Tsukasa. Magpie: B-but she's so cute! You can also get her at the tiems when she wants sometring that has it's price raised. I think you can make her pay like 200% of what it's worth. That's a nice revenge for the lil girl. Also, if you really want to play the game right, you can also try to play it where you don't go to the dungeon whatsoever. It's pretty hard, but it's funny just buying and selling all the random stuff you buy at the shops. It takes a bit of luck with what goes on sale and stuff, however. Blackhead: Magpie: I have to say I had somewhat of the same experience, though for me, I had the drive to keep going my first run because of the steaming anger I felt towards Chigara. The big block of space where you don't get the next event didn't help aslleviate it but it helped build my explosion for the climax. I can say that Chigara was my favorite character before Academy, but Sola took over dat spot because of Academy, so it evened out nicely. Also, I am asking Samu-kun a lot of questions, and this probably has been asked somewhere where I didn't see it but, in Chigara's route was there a specific moment deliberately set into the events where you got to see the switch back from Lynn to Chigara? Before the reveal at the end, that is. I remember thinking it was weird at either the second-to-last or last exposition (or the event before. my memory is bad) because Chigara starts calling you Mr. Manager again, when Lynn-acting-as-Chigara never did, as far as I had remembered.

Despite my avatar being Yuuki, and my name being Yuuki, and my MAL account being named Yuukiism. I overall wasn't really all that happy with the series. I upped my rating of it purely for her sake. The anime I like is pretty varied, but I think as long as something is interesting, I like it. Fate/Zero is probably my favorite anime adaption, however. As much as I love the Valkyria Chronicles game, I actually wasn't very happy with the anime. I upped dat rating. I swear I don't do that often! maybeCurrently I am watching Dimension W and Hai to Gensou no Grimgar, though I'm spending too much time in Blade and Soul to watch much else, even though I know there are other good shows out there.

I play mostly simulation games on the PC. It looks like the most played games in my steam library are Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, Cities Skylines, and Kerbal Space Program. On consoles, I think the last game I really liked was Valkyria Chronicles and Sleeping Dogs, and currently playing Xenoblade Chronicles. It's a shame there are not more good waifu games on PC. Ironically enough, I don't really like VNs, and the games I want would have complicated game play, anime girls, and a good story. I think that adding in routes as time goes isn't a problem whatsoever. It just would be good to know that information at least by the day of the Official Release. I personally am not a big fan of Chigara (having a grudge since Academy), so even if it's months after, getting to see a different route would be swell as pie (I also hold a lesser grudge against Asaga for the start of her Academy route, though because she totally cockblocks Chigara, ironically. ).

I personally like most games that involve strategy of some sort. Sunrider is definitely my favorite indie Tactical RPG for sure. I have a particular devotion to the Valkyria Chronicles series (So plzplz finish that Vaendryl) though I have to say that the first is still my favorite. I also like the Neptunia series, even though they are quite easy in terms of gameplay, they have some of the most light-hearted fun in any game I've played.
Probably my favorite game, however, is Recettear. Only Recettear got me into doing the same thing over and over again, swindling poor old guys as much as I could for the little money they must have left, or little girls out of whatever pocket change they might have acquired from their parents. Capitalism, Ho!
The game I'm currently spending the most time in right now is Blade and Soul, however. I do like it quite a bit.

you probably shouldn't expect such grand ploys xD I mean ,i didn't mean anything big by that, I was just saying that after having Sunrider Academy, it would be weird to not have multiple routes in the actual game. It would just simply disappoint a lot of fans that want a different story besdies Chigara's.

I am personally wearing my tin foil hat right now, and saying that the devs are hiding the other routes from us. They send the betas out with one route so that people can play and test most all the missions, yet not have all the story spoiled. While the beta only focuses on the Chigara route, the master file contains routes for all the characters and will see the light of day on launch. I will hope to see the route with the blue haired one. Hopefully the final game also allows us to make more choices than are currently in. So far, compared to the other two games we seem to have had almost no choices, other than to save or kill Cosette, and to keep or get rid of her rider if we did. Really hoping we will be able to have more choices that effect the relation points and more in the final game, but we will wait and see for that. I'm assumin this is the case as well. It wouldn't make sense to only have a Chigara story, especially after Ava was considered the most popular character. Also, after Sunrider Academy would seem like a huge tease, having the main series be a linear game where your forced into one girl's route
