Lol well it's kind of a relic from my WoW playing years as we used it for raids. Yes I know some people prefer Teamspeak or Mumble or even Skype. Dunno, I guess I'm old fashioned Look forward to seeing you there xD P/S - On skiving the work social, just say you have a bit of a headache and would prefer to rest (tension headaches, migraines aren't that uncommon )

They bribed me with Nando's, I couldn't resist so I'm going to be out for a few more hours.

No worries, Nando's is good stuff. At least I know I lost out to a worthy foe Have a good time I'll probably nap a couple of hours in that case, else I'll be a zombie for launch later.

Yeah, I admit I first lack a mic, and second was fairly busy with the final boss of the Beta. Goddamn, it's fun, but also nerve-wracking, specially as kinda want to avoid losing units, but I think I will have to give up some frigates. You've served me well, Union frigate! Also, somehow the boss doesn't want to use his rockets, which is kinda bad in a way because every turn I have to be careful of them or have a save for if the RNG decides to hate me (like once, where he somehow decided to target my Support and that was the rocket that precisely decided to slip by >_< ). On the positive side is kinda fun messing with the A.I. with the gravity Gun (sometimes I manage to force him to only move and do nothing else; I have yet to crack the pattern, but well, if it was predictable the battle would be too easy)

While Drath has fallen asleep on us (pfft lightweight) I will linger in the Steam group chat for Liberation Day if anyone feels like dropping by. Its no launch event but it is a bit more user friendly in terms of chatting in comparison to the Shoutbox.

Well, it seems the game has finally been released... and I have to go sleep because here is 1AM of March 5th! not like I managed to finish the boss actually, what with me actually somehow being social and meeting with a friend.
Hope everyone who plays it tells us their impression, and how much material is added from this last beta!

For those of you who joined the Steam Chat last night I hope you had a good time, there were quite a few laughs to be had and I hope we can do more things like this. For me the highlight was definitely 'The Ava Prophecy': DarthCheesecake: I found an alternate universe where Everyone is Ava. I give them all my paperwork. Duke Skywalker: please take me to that universe Magpie: *Knocks John down three world lines. Magpie: Sorry I slipped. DarthCheesecake: Magpie isn't allowed there apparently. DarthCheesecake: Because of the Prophesy. John Titor (Mad Scientist): I can bring you spare Avas from that timelien though DarthCheesecake: No Ava from that universe will do it. Because of the Prophesy. John Titor (Mad Scientist): They've engineered them to be even a 10% more efficient in Paperwork processing DarthCheesecake: The Prophecy says that Magpie will cause the destruction of all paperwork everywhere if he enters the Avaverse. Magpie: DarthCheesecake: I have a prophecy? DarthCheesecake: You are the death of paperwork. Magpie: My codename is stable extractor Magpie: Snip snip - www.wilko.com/content/ebiz/wilkinsonplus/invt/0316956/0316956_l.jpgDuke Skywalker: No! The dreaded extractor has come! DarthCheesecake: There's another Prophecy... but you don't want to know what it is. John Titor (Mad Scientist): I thought Magpie would bring balance to the paperwork DarthCheesecake: No that's Ava. Duke Skywalker: Ava is high priestess of the Paperwork! DarthCheesecake: Anyway Magpie's true fate has been revealed. DarthCheesecake: He will be Chigara's eternal Husbando... I'm so sorry. John Titor (Mad Scientist): Aw sorry to hear that Magpie Duke Skywalker: RIP John Titor (Mad Scientist): I mean...out of all the girls..Chigara DarthCheesecake: They have 9 kids and 3 bakeries. John Titor (Mad Scientist): Rough life mate... Duke Skywalker: does that make him shields? or does he not exist in this prophecy? DarthCheesecake: No no this is worse. John Titor (Mad Scientist): What a cursed fate DarthCheesecake: Magpie specifically. DarthCheesecake: Kayto is safe. John Titor (Mad Scientist): Can't we put an end to his suffering? DarthCheesecake: No. John Titor (Mad Scientist): Or will Chigara just reviv him over and over agian? DarthCheesecake: Because the one who strikes down Magpie takes his fate. John Titor (Mad Scientist): Dar John Titor (Mad Scientist): I mean...if it was L7NN, or Alpha...it wouldn't be so bad Duke Skywalker: or even Alice DarthCheesecake: Sorry I saw the wrong figure. DarthCheesecake: 19 kids and 30 bakeries. John Titor (Mad Scientist): So the one who strikes down Magpie ...become the Jailer of theDamned? DarthCheesecake: Yes. John Titor (Mad Scientist): Alice is cool as well John Titor (Mad Scientist): We couls trick BMU into delivering the blow DarthCheesecake: Won't work. John Titor (Mad Scientist): he thinks CHigara is best girl DarthCheesecake: The Prophecy accounts for it. DarthCheesecake: On the 87th year Claude returns on a cloud of glory and rescues Magpie... potentially. The Propecy is ambiguous. John Titor (Mad Scientist): He thinks the dere makes him strong This isn't the fate I wanted.

I do not suppose you have any skill points as a healer do you? Maybe you can free me of this fate while johntitor isn't looking. GAH!! Begone Extractor, thou fate is sealed and thou shalt not find'eth release within these walls. Huh, bit sad I missed it. Haha careful or I may increase your paperwork efficiency. There will be another time I am sure, it was one of the best group chat experiences I have had in a while and it was quite nice to meet some new faces.

In other news, when we get more information on the release of V2.00 who would be up for doing this just again so we can have a revised launch party? Heck if there is enough interest we could always revert back to our Windows 95 computers and use Ventrilo. (Don't kill me Drath).
