umm... hi~ nice to meet you all!
i have a simple question: how to 'factory reset' Sunrider Academy? like remove every achieved chivos, CGs, scenes, and save file from one's computer like brand new opened game that never been played? i already try to delete the save file but it just won't work
the story is: my friend bought the denpa version years ago, and a week ago he bought the steam version for the steam achievement. but as soon as he patched and played it, he can't get any steam achievement or drop card. my guess is that the steam achievement will unlocked at the same time the game chivos unlocked (yes, he already have every chivos in the game, which might cause this problem in my opinion)
my friend is currently tasked outside of town, with no internet connection in any kind (poor soul >__<) so he just left his laptop for me to take care before he came back
thanks for reading this post, i am looking forward to any reply~

Hi there Andra1, welcome to the forum.
I think there was indeed an issue for denpa users and unlocking achievements when moving over to Steam but I cannot remember if it was resolved.
Have you tried backing up the original game on a flash drive and then doing a full delete of both the denpa and Steam version followed by doing a fresh install? It might be a good idea to check the 'common' folder of Steam after uninstalling just to make sure there are no old file remains.
Steam cards are slightly awkward as they start dropping after 2 hours total time but as far as I am aware there is no fixed time they will start dropping. To see if the account is still eligible you would have to look at his 'badges' and check how many drops are left for Sunrider Academy.

Try setting the launch options to -steam by doing: Right click the game in library> properties> general> Set launch options " -steam " I'm preeeeetty sure that's what I did, but it was a long time ago.

save files are stored both in the game folder and in the user folder of your system. at least, that's how it works on windows - don't ask me what happens on other platforms. it'll be something like this:
C:\Users\Andra\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\Sunrider Liberation Day-1433059539
the files here take priority over those in the game folder and you need to delete both to really reset your progress. I don't know of an official way of removing achievements unlocked in steam though.

sorry for the late reply, but thanks for your helps. re-installing and deleting the folder in appdata actually work for clearing out every in-game unlocked chivo and cg! but before i test it out since i actually never played this game before, does the achievements (other than Champ achievement) achieve-able in waifu difficulty?

All achievements (unless they specifically mention a difficulty) should be achievable no matter the difficulty.
