During deployment stage (player units) you are not able to access 'menu', however if you previously had it open and have it open during the deployment stage then you are able to use the options as normal. It should be noted that you will be unable to close 'menu' until you finish deployment and press 'start'.

I understand part of this was addressed through 'You can save, research, and shop immediately before battles' but it would still be nice to be able to access it considering that you could during deployment in Mask of Arcadius.

I've fixed it for next version now. Thanks for reporting it!
