A low priority polish thing but I believe there was a tutorial in the works for First Arrival that was never completed on mechanics, I would like to suggest an alternative as a compromise.
Adding a tool tip to each of the character stats for 'FK, SD, AR and EV' in combat that gives a brief explanation of how the stats affects hitting / final damage would fill this gap with minimal effort.

I've been wanting a way to be able to see the difference between effective shielding and shield generation. it's pretty hard to know who to zap with debufs as it is. I can put that in the tooltip so good idea emoticon_kayto_small
