Movement and Direction Mod and Wreckage Mod
This is a port of two mods from Mask of Arcadius that let ships change direction, and leave wreckage when they are destroyed.
Movement and Directions: With this mod installed, ships change direction when moving backwards and when attacking ships behind them.
Wreckage Mod: Now, ships larger than Ryders leave colour coded wreckage depending on their faction. This wreckage lasts for a time determined by the ship type, and can block attacks. If it is destroyed by damage, some larger wreckage explodes. Wreckage degrades over time and the image changes to match.
Cover Stats:
Cover is different depending on the ship but categories are roughly similar. Cover HP is currently 10% of the Max hp.
Frigate: Timer: 3, Chance to block: 10% Cruiser: Timer: 4-6, Chance to block: 15% Destroyer: Timer: 4, Chance to block: 13%, Detonates if destroyed (200dmg) Station: Timer: 6-12, Chance to block: 40-60%, Detonates if destroyed. (200dmg) Carrier: Timer: 5, Chance to block: 30% Battleship: Timer: 7, Chance to block: 40%, Detonates if destroyed. (200dmg) Assault Carrier: Timer : 5, Chance to block: 40%, Detonates if destroyed. (200dmg)
Installation: Drop both files into the sunrider/game folder Files are stored on the old forum

Wowzers this is a real neat idea, I can see this going beyond ships too and allowing much more abstract map design (with things like asteroids and space junk). At this rate you'll have designed the core mechanics of Sunrider 4 bigfoot .
