So, er. I noticed something weird while upgrading Blackjack's Flak... I was upgrading Flak, and I clicked too many times. So I went back, and went forth... And noticed that the numbers didn't go down, they only went up higher and higher... I don't know if this is just a face value and is not reflected in game. Haven't tried it yet. I don't think, it's supposed to be at 285 is it?

Working on the recreation now, can you give me a bit more information on 'I clicked too many times. So I went back, and went forth'? So you were continuing to stack changes to the stats while the 'insufficient intel' audio prompt was playing or something else?

So you were continuing to stack changes to the stats while the 'insufficient intel' audio prompt was playing or something else? I clicked too many times the first time and decided I spent too much on flak so I clicked the < button to decrease it. (The Flak did not go up after I had spent all my points.) Instead of decreasing however, it just went up. And my points were refunded. And it sort of just spiraled upwards from there.

I reloaded the save, and. It's still happening.
So uh. More details? Maybe this was why? On the Cera mission. Where spoiler enemy turns on you, I stripped all her upgrades beforehand. That made the Flak value disappear. Literally, wasn't even a 0. There was no Flak. After the mission, I started giving her back her upgrades. And the Flak value appeared with the base value being 20. But this time upon upgrading it, ^ happened.

iirc spoiler enemy is actually a totally separate entity as far as the internals are concerned, meaning its upgrades are independent. I don't think it even has any - it just has different base stats to begin with.
the BJ just gets removed from the player_ships list for a bit and then added back...
If you can upload the save where this happens consistently I'd like to have a look at it and peel some parts back. have a closer look.

Guess we will know for certain when you finish your investigation.

Oh, I removed the upgrades simply because I needed extra cash and I wasn't going to be using her for the large part of the round. www.mediafire.com/?9192k6dm7k05x4qMaybe it's just an incompatibility issue?

Thanks, I'll have a look at it. I'm thinking somehow a buff (like all guard) is active out of combat. this is Bad. maybe buffs aren't wiped properly when the BJ is taken out of the player's control. EDIT: yup. called and confirmed it. in the save you provided All Guard is still active. same effect would happen on upgrading evasion and shielding, if the BJ had shielding. thanks for the report, I'll fix it.
