Howdy, I posted on Patreon, but I am just making sure. Back in late 2015, maybe early 2016, I backed Love in Space, 20$, for a coupla months. I got in Beta .9, in fact still have the email. Unfortunately, I lost my job and could no longer support Love in Space. I saw their post that they did not have a list, couldn't get people the game, etc if they quit. Is there anyway if I still have the emails I can prove I was a backer and get the game? I don't know the right forum, I have a new job but I went from a bank to working at Wal Mart. I don't have the money to buy the game, I guess I can wait for a sale if they ever had one, but it is rahter annoying I paid 20-40$, if it was for two months more than the game itself, and don't get a copy.

In terms of what I know we have this post from the Patreon page: Love in Space I think the only issue is that if you cancelled your pledge before March 1, you vanished from the Patreon list and couldn't get the game. Some people didn't see that warning on our main page and thought they would get the game even if they cancelled. Unfortunately, it is not feasible to give games to people who are not inside our Patreon list because Patreon will not export your email or your past contributions and we would have to collect this information one by one, which sounds impossible considering that there are hundreds of people who cancelled and this number will grow as time goes on. We will make it more clear from now that you need to be inside the Patreon system by currently being a Patreon in order to get the game.If you were not on the list on March 1st then unfortunately it does not sound like you will get a copy, I seem to remember the advice at the time was that you are backing a custom value of like $1 to stay on the list. The final say of the matter would be Samu-kun though.

The part that Magpie referred too:
We also believe we have discovered a workaround to this problem. If you pledge just a tiny amount like a cent before a game comes out, Patreon will actually put you back on the award list and restore your old contributions so that we can once again distribute the awards to you. We will also try to communicate this work around so that people know it exists.

It's as Magpie says unfortunately. Patreon works as a subscription model, so the people who code Patreon assume that if someone cancels, they no longer pay and also no longer receive Patreon awards. There's no great way around the way the system's been coded. We can't individually ask people to submit secondary evidence because hundreds of people have canceled by this point and that number will only grow larger, meaning a potential disaster when my inbox gets bombed by hundreds of people submitting evidence that I need to spend time individually verifying. So to avoid any further misunderstandings, we have adopted a bright line rule that if you cancel, you don't get awards now.
I hope your job situation improves. Good luck...

Ah okay, thanks you two, and thank you Samu. I guess you are one of the developers? Regardless, I ain't gonna throw a stink. Is it a little frustrating? Yes. But I can wait for a sale or until I get some money and get the game. It ain't your fault this happened, it isn't Patreon's fault (though I wish they kept better records), it isn't anyone's fault, just a bad situation all around. I figured I would try in case I could get the game without shelling out money, but as I said I will wait. I can be patient . Anyways, thanks again everyone. Hopefully I can find a better job soon, and I can't wait to get the game and join y'all in space.

Update. I haven't managed to snag a second job, but the Steam sale but it under 20$ so I was able to justify buying a game for myself. Thank you to the creators, and, well. Yeah. Just wanted to let you know.

All right, hope you enjoy it, and look forward to the free DLC, which should launch soon...ish. Thank you! I haven't had a chance to play it yet do to work still getting in the way, but it's downloaded. I loved the first one, and I will get Academy eventually. The fact that this series has developers who directly talk to the fans really sets it apart, I know I will enjoy it .

Bah sorry to double post, I don't know if you will even read this TBH, however, I just finished the game after 4-6 hours straight. Did the same thing I did in the last one ASAP, ensuring SOla could fire twice a turn. My gosh the end. I know I heard that it got alot of hate, and I called 2 of the 3 big things that happened (one only after the last battle), but it was so great. Y'all did a GREAT job. I know y'all hear the grippers so I want you to know I definetely feel like I got my money's worth. I ain't a huge VN fan, more of a turn based RPG player, that's how I found this series, but both the battles and story were A+. Thank you for making this!

Thanks, it may not be as interesting to the TRPG fans, but keep in mind the DLC adds a lot of hours of new story content so the game's not quite over yet. Check it out in a few weeks.

Oh I trust y'all. Y'all aint led me wrong yet, and I will probably play the base game a coupla more times at least before it comes out. I literally have no complaints about it. I know their was a bit of a scuffle over the voice actors. I did turn it to english for a bit, jsut trying to hear the good old "I'ma Firin' Mah Lazers!" bit.
Besides Sunrider there really aren't any other Space TRPG's (R-Type Command was good but ended to soon- one single release in the West), and even the more dedicated ones (Fire Emblem for instance) is veering more into VN/TRPG hybrid territory.
All in all, if I want to play a TRPG I will play good ol' Chess. But I will always play the Sunriders so long as you make them- I know I praise yall alot but it's the truth. You've made a good many fans.
Besides, the story is great. Again, I called some stuff but not all. And I already have pet theories on the Origins of Ryuvia, Cera, and the other major factions, as well as what will happen to each character. I've been wrong on one so far, arguably two, so I may not be right but at least I'ma theorizing.
Anyway's, lot's of words to say that I look forward to the new DLC. And I look forward to whatever adventures the SR crew has next, whatever shape they take.
