I think at some point the beta build(s) have been deleting the folder 'game clear save' during the update process, while I have not been able to recreate this since my initial update it has become apparent that my original clear information had gone until I cleared the game again in the newest build which created a new one.
Can we check if the process is removing this folder, and if that is the case prevent it from doing so?
This is the folder that contains: 'game_cleared.dat' at \Steam\steamapps\common\Sunrider Liberation Day

I've no idea how that could happen as far as the game and its code goes, but maybe steam really is doing something unpleasant when updating that'd be Bad

It's still there for me and Steam should not remove it (unless it is explicitly listed as game file in manifest) even when removing game.

To be honest I am not sure myself what has happened, I spoke to two other players who have cleared the game - one said they still had the folder while another said that it had also gone. As I cannot re create as I no longer have the original folder and the one I started using was created in the new version (which did not have this issue when updating), I am a bit stumped what the cause was.
I guess we can leave this as closed until further evidence is found.

Just to note, the game has just updated from 2.0 to 3.0 and in my case the "game clear" file is safe. Maybe it's something that only happened on the betas?
