For bad ends that reset the player's decision and take them back to an earlier point in the DLC to choose again, they will not be taken back to the main menu like the other endings but remain in the DLC. From here they are able to select choices and continue as though they were at the time they unlocked the route (for that specific character, in my case Icari / Claude).
The only one I have confirmed so far that has this reset behaviour is: 'bad end 2: crushed' at this stage.

kind of a known issue. in the main game the player gets thrown back a bit after the initial few bad endings to try something else in case they didn't save yet or something. since the ending-jumps are just save files that load to that point in the game it'll act the same.
not sure it's really a big deal, though could be prevented with a flag I guess.

Speaking as a consumer I would only want the preview after selecting it as I could just go into the game separately and play if I wanted to do that. Absolutely your call as I appreciate the feature now exists now more than anything but something to be considered.
