DOWNLOAD1. Right click on Sunrider: Mask of Arcadius on Steam. 2. Go to properties. 3. Go to the “local files” tab. 4. Press “browse local files”. 5. Download patch. 6. Extract zip. Move the two files to the “game” folder where Steam installed Sunrider. Do not place the Decensor Patch folder into the “game” folder, only the two files. 7. If applied correctly, “RESTORATION PATCH DETECTED” should appear at the bottom left side of the main menu. The content is adult only, please do not install if you are under 18 years of age.

Not sure what nightshade's issue was, works fine on Linux for Steam.
In case anyone else is wondering how to do step 6 above in Linux:
1) Open up a terminal window and navigate to the directory of the Restoration Patch .zip archive.
2) Type 'sudo unzip Decensor-Patch.zip -d /home/[Name of User Profile]/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Sunrider/game' (without quotes) Hit Enter. Enter Root Password. Hit Enter.
3) ? ? ?
4) PROFIT!!!
This work flow assumes:
1) You know how to work in a terminal session. Do you even bash bro?
2) You know the root password.
3) You know the name of your own user profile.
4) You installed Steam in its default Linux directory
If your answer to any of these are anything but 'Yes', please do not ask for help.
I also did some testing and for some reason this method works despite the instructions saying not to place the Decensor Patch folder itself in the game's directory. It will also work if you follow the original instructions. I don't know if the developer added in an additional directory check or not.

I got the game from Good Old Games. Does the mod/patch work on it? It does indeed. The instructions are designed for Steam but the logic is the same, you'll need to go into your installation folder and do the same application of step five onwards. |
