So, I discovered the Sunrider series about two weeks ago and breathed through Sunrider Academy, Mask of Arcadius, and Liberation day.
I also played Return but was left unimpressed with a back in time story endings. I am afraid that there is not going to be a continuation
of these wonderful series.
Please tell me that I am wrong to fear and there are going to be next part after liberation day. Because I will be in despair if RETURN is
a cannon end of the series.

REturn is a non-canon 'what if' scenario and is not the 'ending' to the main series.
I'm sure Love in Space would someday love to continue the main series, but no sequel has been announced at this point in time. currently the company is working on a new IP - Starnova.

The general consensus among fans seems to be that "supposed" next game wouldn't be announced till after Starnova. Some of the more cynical types would feel that a great deal would be based on how Starnova does.
Personally I don't expect to see any real news or confirmation till at least late this year, possibly early next year. I'd recommend patience and cautious optimism.

I also second this, and will buy the third game.
Just hope that we'd have more story to the visual novel aspects + the tactical game which I love.

I really enjoyed playing Sunrider Liberation. I love how it has Japanese Voice Acting. Please use the Japanese Voices for the next Sunrider game!
