So... I finally beat it..
Anon: But where's the vide-
Shhhhh, shhhhhhh.... What matters, is that I beat it.
Ok but seriously. This was one of the hardest missions I've ever faced. Probably harder than the last mission in Liberation Day.
I replayed the game 4 times for this mission. I played this mission specifically well over 40 times.
So, my upgrades for this mission.
Sunrider:
Mark 4 energy reactor (120 energy)
Mark 3 Kinetic Energy Cost (59 cost)
Mark 5 Energy Damage (300 damage)
Mark 3 Energy Cost (You only need mark 2 for this. So you can save the money elsewhere)
Mark 2 Missile Damage
Mark 1 Missile Storage
Liberty:
Mark 3 Energy Reactor (preferably mark 4)
Mark 1 Shield Power (40 shield)
Blackjack:
Mark 2 Energy Damage (240 damage)
Mark 1 Energy Cost (64 energy cost)
Mark 3 Missile Damage (52 damage)
As well as 2 rockets and the liberty repair boost from the store.
The opening moves are super crucial
What you want to do here is focus down 1 of the BBs immediately. PACT BBs will launch 1,000 damage rockets at you so you better get rid of one of them. 2 rockets will bring it down to 136 or so HP. Hit it with machine guns from Asaga and Icari and it should be dead. Once it's gone, the entire upper group of PACT units will no longer have shields. Use lasers to bring down the PACT frigate.
You want to focus down the DPS units in this order. Frigate > PACT Bombers > 2nd PACT BB > Cruiser
At this point, the grunts were all bunched together. I was able to line them up and wipe out 6 of them with a Vanguard.
More units will warp in, but it shouldn't be that tough. What's important is you keep a mental note of the turn. Turn 8 is when you will die. You must get to the other side either ON turn 8 or before. Probably on.
This is one mission you will NOT be able to do legitly. You WILL have to savescum for this mission. Hella alot of times.
