I played the main path and only unlocked three of four (got Asagara, Sola and the frontispiece). Now I'm six weeks into Ava's path and have unlocked zero of (I think) eight. What do I need to be doing?
Is there any way to increase the number of times I interact with the girls? I bought the blessing at the shrine when the number declined drastically, but it doesn't seem to have any effect. I'm at ten of ten hearts with three of the girls -- not Asagara, who I find very obnoxious in this, or Maray. I've been wondering whether encounter frequency drops off when affection is maxed out, because I run into Maray about as often as the other four combined, but if that were true I'd also run into Asagara more often, and I don't seem to.
Some of the things bought downtown seem to have much more effect than others. The thing (pillow?) that's supposed to increase stress removed to four 50% of the time seems to work more like 70%, while the thing (blanket?) that supposed to reduce attribute loss overnight by 40% doesn't appear to have any effect at all.
Do the study charms actually do anything? They don't seem to.
What's a good fitness to intelligence ratio? I had been keeping mine around 2/3 of the intelligence score, but it slipped to 1/2 during finals, and I'd like to know if it's worth it to try to get the ratio back up.
I've just finished mid-term exams and am about to start vacation. For my clubs, I have 20 members in each and training and morale barely over 60 each. Is this a good ratio? The titles you can earn for gameplay imply that I should be closer to 1/5 than 1/3. And should morale and training be close to equal? I just assumed they should be.
How often should I report progress at the Student Council? I've been assuming only once a month, but since that seems to be the only way to increase charisma after you've bought out the store, perhaps I should be doing it more often?
Likewise, what are good luck and charisma scores in the middle of the game? As just mentioned, my charisma has barely moved since I bought out the store, and I don't know whether I should be aiming higher. I've been trying to keep my luck just over 20, but luck seems to be the attribute that declines the most rapidly. It's so maddening to buy 2 luck in the afternoon just to see it disappear again that night, or to buy 4 and see 3 vanish that night, but it seems to happen with astounding regularity.
How do you know who to give the presents to? I thought I was doing pretty well giving the cookbook and apron to Chingara, the game to Asagara and the incense to Sola, but the others didn't seem to fit anyone. I ended up giving the fuzzy socks to Maray (I guess that went over well) and the difficult book and space whale pillow to Ava (she seemed barely pleased by the book and distinctly turned off by the pillow), and haven't given the panties to anyone. I really thought the pillow was meant for Ava, because it would keep her company during the times her father is away, and it's a private thing she could keep in her room that nobody but she and I would know she had. Not to mention that she had already given me a space whale gift, for which Kayto's programmed response was quite ungrateful. I made the panty mistake in real life, during my third year of college, and now I'm petrified to make the same mistake in the game!
How do I unlock the Maray siscon? I've scored a lot of 'ding, ding, relationship points', but she still reacts badly to flirting.

I do have two suggestions for the game:
First, why don't I ever meet anyone at work? I met Chigara once at her job (the shopping district, never at the museum, which confuses me) and Sola a few times at hers (the shrine, which is also her home), but I've never had a girl approach me at my job.
Second, many of Ava's responses don't match the game situation. She's yelling at me for not doing my homework when I've never missed an assignment, she's yelling at me for not doing my job with the student council when my primary job is overseeing the problem clubs and they're ten-for-ten winning gold medals (which should also be helping with the Academy's reputation, but she says I'm hurting it), and when she tells me she expects to see me every day in the library studying for the mid-terms, she doesn't show up there even once. And she's always telling me I'm in danger of losing my spot on the Council for falling below the 60th percentile when all of my results have been from the 86th to the 91st percentile. I mean, what's the point of me reporting my progress when she's apparently reading very different reports than the ones I turn in?
I'm very much enjoying the game, but there are a few things I don't understand.
