I've been playing/reading First Trial and went all the way up to where Kayto starts remembering his past with Ava. All this time I thought Asaga was my best girl. Right from the get go when I saw her I was like "yup I think she's the one, definitely!" But then after a while of playing/reading Sunrider (I have 35.1 hrs on record according to my Steam account and that's crazy because I tend to procrastinate a lot and loose interest if I'm not completely hooked on it so that's pretty much letting me know I'm kind of obsessed with Sunrider atm) I don't know how it happened but I really started to appreciate Ava more than usual for some reason? You don't really get a lot of her background story until you've gotten through a couple of confrontations with the pirates Veniczar Porkchops (heh) and Fontana. When Kayto starts remembering the past they shared it's when he basically was about to die. You get to see his sister and even a bit of the night they got it going on and what not. Pretty much all the time they spent at school Ava trying to force Kayto to just finish his god damn papers and then it starts to snow. I don't know how to explain myself correctly but I think Ava's my girl now. With Asaga it sucked because it was the usual 'unrequited love because my friend wants him so I shouldn't mention anything about my feelings at all' thing I don't even know why I'm writing this thread to be honest? I just wanted to talk about Sunrider because I have so many feelings about this and I think it's definitely one of my favorite things right now. I can't believe how good it is. The story gets you hooked and you just want to keep reading and reading and reading until you have to stop and take a break because holy shit that was incredible. Not even sure how long until I finish the first part and move on towards Mask of Arcadius but I hope it lasts longer than I think it is going to be.
It also kills me that Kayto has to live with thinking that everything's his fault and all the nightmares he has gotten about that one girl with the small knife and then her sister saying "you killed me" that shit made me go silent. It's ridiculous how this vn/game thing plays with your emotions so much. It's like once you start you spiral downwards into this pit of space waifu hell and you can't get out of it for awhile. I think I'm okay with this though it feels nice down here. Anyway, for now, I think both Asaga and Ava will be my best girls.
Edit: This thread is kinda pointless not even sure if people will actually reply to it lol.

Hum... after Far Port you're actually already in Mask of Arcadius. When MoA was released, it "fused" together with First Arrival, so that you automatically continue on the new content. You're not that far from the end actually.
And yeah, Ongess (and the effects on Kayto) is definitely the best moment on MoA.

You're not that far from the end actually. And yeah, Ongess (and the effects on Kayto) is definitely the best moment on MoA. Oh so that's how it is now? Nice. And "You're not that far from the end" oh god. I can't believe this whole thing will end soon. Guess the next step will be to finally start Sunrider Academy! |

My List After MoA and Academy is
1 Ava
2 Sola
3 Icari
4 Asaga
5 Clode (The offensive way of her is nice, but she is too dull)
5 Kryska (actualy fit for Icari but hey 3 some^^)
6 Chigara (she is like the little Sister, and if you play the Betas or will play teh finished Lib Day, you'll understand my hatred against LibDay) [Hopefully there will be people I can share my tears off Disgusst with.]
7 Kosette (just a loud, pathetic Girl swho deserves better but thats it)

I don't know what it is about her that I like so much but I just do. I also love her Black Jack to death. Then comes Ava in second place. The I like the rest of the cast but wouldn't necessarily call them my favorites? I really loved Asaga and Ava's background story the most and that's pretty much one of the big reasons I fell for them. And yeah I bet after Liberation Day this forum will be more active ^ ^ I really hope Asaga gets more time to shine once we get Liberation Day. |

- Top-endgame Tier
2nd. Sola , the maiden from the Abyss. + hands down, best route in SA.
- High Tier, but not endgame3rd. Ava (with a very small lead on.. 4th. Asaga5th. Kryska. I really wish to see more about her, loved her interactions with Icari and I'm fakin in love with her ryder. - Mid tier , but with room to improve 6th. Alpha . She has the potential of being the Goth Loli-sama of Sunrider 7th. Claude, And if my suspicions are true about her real identity and personality, she could skyrocket into the top 4. 8th. Alice. She looks imposing. Type of person with the charisma to make soldiers willingly charge towards a certain death. Remembered me of some of the most memorable Gundam Villains 9th. L7NN . Deceptive,aggresive....cruel. I find that refreshing . 10th. Chigara. She has had some interesting moments in some of the battles, but I can't stand her dere. And I like the design of the Arcadi better But then again, after how the Beta ended....this might change Undetermined : - Cosette. Would need to see more about her interacting with the crew to give a veredict. I do like that she has that sort of "better to die on my feet that live on my knees" and quite a dark past. Potential of being a very interesting character. Atm she would stand right below Claude, with the potential of competing for the 3rd-5th spot on the list. |

1st - Ava: Love their story together, both in SA and the main game.
2st - Asaga: I actually completed her story first on SA, liked her overall in both games but somehow as I played more and more Ava took the lead.
3rd - Icari: idk why
4th- Sola : No clue why

Somehow I have a thing for Fontana.
Of course Arcadius and Cullen are not listworthy.

After playing the main one and Academy repeatedly I can say this at the moment. 1st: Sola (she has been my favorite since she was first introduced. I don't know why I just love her character and story so far, I also enjoyed her Academy route the most) 2nd: Asaga (Her personality and story are shining and she has good development) 3rd: Icari (She shines better in the first part in my opinion but I think she has her good moments) 4th: Ava (Her backstory is interesting enough, though I admit to being neutral about her) 5th: Cosette (surprisingly she actually has my sympathy enough to make me interested in her. She is one I want to see develop and expand further.) 6th: Kriska (She just doesn't do much to grab my attention besides get caught possibly spying and help you escape confinement, those two balance each other out but I admit to being curious about her and want to see more happen with her) 7th: Chigara (Overall I am just annoyed with her. I believe she appeals to others but just not enough to me. There's just nothing to draw me to her she isn't a bad character, solid actually just not one that appeals to me as is, yes I was rooting for Asaga through the whole thing when I wasn't rooting for Sola  ) 8th: Claude (She annoys me far more than all the others, some personalities one is just not find they like and she is one of them. Just could not stand her. I think her interactions with Ava are hilarious though.) This list is subject to change pending Liberation Day which I have had high hopes in for more than the past year. |
