hmmmm, are you jumping using the console? In that case, can you try putting in legion_destroyed = True and then jumping to postcredits?

I think most likely Steam blew up some save data when you re-validated. If you load a save from near the end of the main story and view the post credits scene again, it should unlock again. Or you can just jump to postcredits using the dev console.

The decensor patch on Patreon has now been updated to V3.01. Installing it should resolve the missing thumb crash in the gallery and fix the missing eye patch on Ava if you sank the Legion in MoA.

I think it's actually because the patch files are still inside the patch folder. Make sure to move the three individual files into /game/ and not the entire folder. Also, make sure to install the patch which is on Patreon and not the public patch for V2.0 Libday.

Yeah, the version counter is broken right now and displays 2.1.
For the missing Maray sprite bug, simply pressing "ignore" when you get the crash will let you resume play normally for now. You should just have to press "ignore" twice.

I think Sharr's one of those people who just like arguing for the sake of arguing. All sizable science fiction fandoms draw out people like that. Fitting handle name too, perhaps he has awakened one too many times and ended up like this...
It's like George Lucas changing things. If the director tinkers with what's already out there, the changes aren't necessarily going to be for the better. I'm sure that when the next Sunrider rolls out, there'll be people swearing "I loved Liberation Day and this new installment just doesn't live up" too. Nostalgia makes everything better, and whether you like a story is really subjective.

Yes, Sir, Samu-Kun. I have followed the instructions as directed. Both in the Txt document in the patch and what is directed from the website. This is not normally a problem for me, i have used patches like this before. The Main cause i think is the Maray character model. I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred.

That is what i get when i try and every time I validate local file after this I have 95 Files that need to be replaced. Ah yes the missing Maray sprite is a bug, but I don't think the missing hcgs are bugs.

Hmmm I don't think these are bugs in the game code since other people have triggered those scenes, did you install the new decensor patch correctly? (Not the public patch, use the patch which is on Patreon.) The patch should say V3.0 in the patch instructions. Also, make sure the files inside the patch aren't inside the patch folder in the /game/ directory. The individual files should be dropped into /game, not the entire folder itself.

Eh I dunno, I get the feeling Sharr's pretty much on the far edge of the general community consensus. I don't think very many people would be pleased if we retcon the main story.

Post by Samu-kun on May 19, 2016 22:31:24 GMT -8
Well I'm sure Sharr will continue to think what he will of the game. Eh, I enjoyed a lot of animes which other people thought were horrible, so to each their own. Some things are truly subjective I guess.
In terms of just data, the game's pretty much gotten consistently positive reviews since V2.0 launched so I don't think it's really that bad. I'm sure people who enjoyed the game will be back to enjoy REturn. And the game's pretty damned long with the additional content, so that should make most people happy.

I'm sure Vaendryl has his own valid opinions on the matter, but my opinion is that the dlc's not intended to address current complaints about the story. Plenty of people enjoyed the main story for what it is. I don't see reason to change it. The main story was meant to spark strong reactions and it will continue to do so. The dlc's just more content for the fans who liked the franchise.
I think the only complaint the dlc is meant to address is that the game doesn't provide enough bang for the buck. I think the dlc will put the game more in line with AAA-tier Japanese productions of the equivalent price range in terms of play time, and that's the only thing which we're seeking to address.
The main reason I went forward with the dlc is that it seemed like an entertaining scenario. My thinking is that REturn provides a bunch of new possible routes Shields' adventure can take after Liberation Day. There is no canon route for the franchise except the route you chose to follow so nothing we ever make will be canon.

As an addendum, LD will be expanded soon with free DLC expansion, so I guess it's not quite "the full experience" yet, but yes, right now that's all the content in the game.

The Sunrider was retrofitted during LD to carry 8 ryders, down from its original design of 12. It can maintain and repair the 8 ryders better with lower operational costs with the new hanger, but it's kind of moot now because the ship's destroyed. Uhh I don't know myself whether the Kryska bug was fixed, must ask vaendryl.

There are many bad ends in the DLC, some of them pretty graphic. There's also some endings some people might consider "bad" depending on your opinion. Eh I think there's 11 endings and about 10 more bad ends if I recall correctly, but I probably forgot. The style's quite unlike any game we've made before but I'm pretty happy with how the script turned out. Granted I haven't played the DLC yet either! So far vaendryl is the only person who knows what it's really like.

In the main story, I think this decision would have been unfair and/or required meta game knowledge, because you don't know that you lose the Bianca until after the choice. It would be presented as a) Open fire on Black Jack b) Hesitate It would be only after you make the choice that you know Claude gets gunned down if you chose b on a first play through, so I'm not sure if it would have been an entirely fair decision because the consequences seem pretty far detached from the choices.
Ahem, coincidentally enough though, this is a key decision point in REturn so look forward to how this decision plays out with full knowledge of the consequences... emoticon_kayto_small

What are your system specs? Try right clicking the game in your Steam library, pressing properties, local files, then verifying the integrity of the game cache. Press and hold shift as you start the game and see if that opens the rendering mode prompt.
