So now that the game is finally out I binged quite a bit and already finished 4/7 routes, and seeing as a lot of people already had the game for over a month from Patreon rewards etc. I thought it would be appropriate to make a poll on which route is everyone's favorite.
This is supposed to be about the best ROUTE not best GIRL (because come on that's obviously Mika), for example I liked Aki's route the most so far, even though she won't win any best girl awards from me, because I really liked her story and growth, Mariya is a close second so far.
Edit: I've now finished all the routes and while I really liked Nemu's and Sasami's routes, my verdict remains the same, with Aki having the best one in my opinion.

For me Mariya's and Aki's route are also very close for me. But for me Mariya's route was slightly better, as I like Mariya more than Aki (not by that much though). I can't seperate my sympathy for a girl and my liking of the route from each other perfectly. Both routes were awesome in terms of story and emotions but I gave my vote for Mariya's vote I'd thought that Sasami would be the best route for me considering the final is very well done and before I even played the game, she looked the best for me. But in the end I was a bit disappointed by her route and Sasami suffers a lot from not having a route for herself. Mika is not best girl for me, but I admit she's very cute

Well, Sola - errrr, I mean, Mika, is my favorite, but she has to recuse herself from consideration for reasons of waifu. 1. Mariya. Because she really deserved it and I did find myself becoming emotionally invested in her story. 2. Aki. Which is a surprise. I did her route last of the first six, because I considered her to be the most unlikable character. But she won me over after I found the young lady behind the image. 3. Julie. Of them all, I think she was the one who really needed me (Mr. Producer) the most. Umm, outside of Mika, of course. 4. Natsuki. Gotta give some love to a woman who uprooted her life and moved to the big city just to meet me, her childhood crush. 5. Nemu. Good story; the only one in which I goofed and got the "bad ending" first. (come on! I got Sola killed AGAIN???) I kept waiting for Nemu to drop hints of possessing enormous, near-supernatural powers (other than seeming to know what everyone was thinking). I really wanted to like Sasami's route, and it was the game's "main" storyline. But … (SERIOUS SPOILERS AHEAD. Please don't read if you haven't finished the game.) The ending disappointed me a bit, what with Shiro standing up there on stage with Sasami and sharing in the glory and Sasami calling her a friend. Shiro manipulated, seduced and corrupted Sasami over the course of the story, lied to her, sought to destroy her and lured her into the Golden Calf building for, at the least, Sasami to be coerced into joining Quasar. That, finally, Shiro couldn't just stand by and allow a rape hardly redeems her; it just demonstrated she still had some humanity. And I wanted my character, Mr. Producer, to save Sasami, not Shiro. I understand the reasoning: Sasami can rise above the ugly behavior the Idol industry often forces upon young woman, and even forgive and embrace the woman who personified the worst of that behavior. Sasami was "tested," and won; that Shiro was only "playing" the Idol game by the rules she had been taught through harsh experience, doing what she had to do in order to survive as an Idol, but was able to realize, through Sasami and the other women of Starnova, that there was a better way. I still think Starnova is an awesome game: I played seven straight days, for over 80 hours, to get to the end, and I know I'll keep going back to it and re-reading certain scenes, just as I still do with Sunrider Academy and Liberation Day. But I think Shiro got off light for her many crimes; heck, she even got to reunite with the girlfriend she had betrayed and humiliated.
Ah, well. Guess we owed Shiro for what she did at the end of Mariya's route.

I really liked Mariya's route, and was glad I went through it first. Aki's was good as well, and it helps that both are the "traditional" variations on motivational stories. Liking Aki's route like I did was surprising, as she can be rather unlikable in other routes. Others were all great too it should be mentioned. None were anywhere near being bad or boring, and I liked all of them. Sasami's route gets special mention as being a compilation of the other routes limits its own singular appeal. Still awesome, and capped the entire novel fantastically. The ending disappointed me a bit, what with Shiro standing up there on stage with Sasami and sharing in the glory and Sasami calling her a friend. Shiro manipulated, seduced and corrupted Sasami over the course of the story, lied to her, sought to destroy her and lured her into the Golden Calf building for, at the least, Sasami to be coerced into joining Quasar. Eh, I wouldn't consider what Shiro did to be quite so evil as to require a great redemption. Especially from a moral perspective, Shiro doing what she did was, from her POV, helping Sasami. Hence her final bit was less redemption and more recognizing that her old methods were wrong. She got off easy in a way, but I do believe part of the point of the route was Shiro was quite the victim herself of the attitude behind behind idol culture.

I've finished all the routes and I liked Mika's the most, primarily because she's my favorite girl. Mariya and Aki are next, then Nattan. None of the routes are bad, some are just more interesting and engaging to my way of thinking.
My favorite of all though is the 'bonus' episode of the girls' retreat at the hot springs, especially their reactions the next morning -- especially Nemunemu's!! I hope the developers can give us a few more of these while they work on the next installment of Sunrider. I'd love to see one where Mr. Producer services the girls one after another only to wake up completely spent and wasted from the most erotic dream ever!
