Can we get harem multi-choice edition? I can't decide between Sola, Cosette, Alpha, Ghost Maray, Lynn, Asaga. I guess ill give me voice to Alpha since she's kinda lonely now with 0 votes. And there's always place for her in my harem too. I grew kinda attached to her character thanks to Veniczar novel. |

I don't know if i'd want her as a waifu after the yandere hive-mind kicks in, but she is probably the character I am most interested in what the authors will decide to do with in future installments. So far though, this seems like the most interesting and comedic waifu wars poll distribution yet. The three long time rulers are still holding onto their thrones at the moment, but there is such a fun distribution among the rest. Icari has caught up to Ava; meanwhile Claude, Kryska, and somehow Cosette are managing to covert a good chunk of votes themselves. And then the occasional vote for the prototypes and vaen's choice. I find it funny that some people are already voting on Kuushana. Aye she is impressive, but if anything I'd like to entertain the idea of a 'nega-harem'. Kayto already has so many girls, enough that Fontana has realized that the best way to compete is to gather a harem for himself. In the end it shall be an epic battle of two assault carriers, each with a full squadron of waifu-mecha-pilots. This is what the scrolls have foretold... |

As normal I'll give my immediate thoughts on the list. Though not make things a bit short, I picked L7NN 1. L7NN/Lynn: I'll start by saying I like lesser characters gaining traction, and I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't pick Lynn over Chigara in Academy (:3). She was surprisingly tied to the plot helping entrench Chigara (you create doubt that is dispelled) as well as being a conduit for Chigara to save Kayto. But most importantly when Kayto revealed L7NN I imagined him lifting her by the back of her collar and her smirking at all of them (ALL THE WAIFUS). Though the record time KO and nailing into crate I found hilarious. Anyway I look forward to my Unboxed L7 Prototype.
2.5. Asaga/Sharr: Before LB she was one of my lower ranked; however Academy and LB have pushed here to actually be ranked. During the beta phase I had Sharr and Asaga listed as two different characters, but a nice bit of Character development has equalized them to a single being. Now I don't expect here to stay this high up; however she earned it for now. Should note I prefer Sharr's voice to Asaga's.
2.5. Cosette: (:3) As noted I like lesser characters (;3). So little time, but I got to play with a Ryder that can throw around MIRVs and hear a extremely fitting voice as well as favorite out of all the current voices in the game. With us now forsaken by Sophita there's a chance I'll be buying MIRVs from a certain pirate.
3. Ava: Oh my loyal XO what would I do without you... create a Yandere Hivemind bent on running a bakery with me selling pastries made out of all the others on this list. Similar to Asaga, I feel Ava benefited ultimately from the Deredere C8 Prototype. Ava's voice is also fitting.
4. Kuushana: ... badass... I have as much confidence she will actually be elevated to Waifu actual as Sophita (I would have also said L7NN if there wasn't a Yandere Hivemind). She achieved such a high rank due to pure epicness. Perhaps her existence suggests faction relations might actually be added (doubtful, but you never know).
All those above had/have a chance of being selected. In fact I could change my answer to any of these without much forcefulness. Those bellow this point didn't make the cut (doesn't mean they are trash, just that they didn't meet my gut criteria).
Sola: Normally would be a part of ranked, but I didn't feel she had much of a moment. The 2.0 decision feels a bit to close to the one at the beach and just felt a bit repetitive. Still she has a good chance to making it back up next time.
Claude: BOW BEFORE YOUR GOD!!!! Okay with that out of my system she also just gained a major chance of ascending, but unlike most others it will be her first time.
Icari: Icari ran screaming across the cargo bay and hid behind a stack of crates. Oh Icari, if you keep doing that you might just make it ranked.
Kryska: Worry not soldier boy. You can make it back on the ranked list someday (I have indeed voted for her a couple times)
Others: ... no ... well not right now.

And I forgot Chigara -_- : anyway as Deredere being one of my least favorite character archetypes she has been off ranked. However soon she might actually make it to the top to duke it out with Cosette, Sharr Asaga, and a L7 who may or may not be on Hiveminds hit list depending if she gains a independent personality.

I still think Chigara will be more interesting and gain some popularity once the new and improved version of her gets some screen time.
Still don't view her as a waifu but I do feel some degree of pity for her now.

I feel as though I am going to have to add a few more cells to the brig in my nest - there are quite a few people that need to go through waifu conditioning therapy.  Think of it as a holiday you lucky invited individuals. also, the lack of Sophita support disappoints me greatly. Pearls to the swine, I say. still, she beats out Chigara. that would've hard to imagine at the end of MoA.You know, I am under the impression she is your favourite because she lends you her employee discount on Mining Union products. You must be seeing something in the Mining Union Frigates that the rest of us don't. |

Like, I would exchange 2 Ceran gunboats to be able to have 4 again. On the waifu wars, as Kryska is growing stronger I'm doubting whether to shift my vote to Ghost Maray. The poor girl doesn't even have one vote, and she's definitively good enough. |

Sola is the one I like the most, definitely.
with Ava as a close second, Icari third place. I guess I like determination =P
Claude was the one that I liked less, but... perhaps she just need more introspection and more hard choices, something that could show us some character development or maybe more personality than the regular perv woman.

If there will be no individual Kryska or Icari route so be it, this shouldn't justify what I'd call 'the fanservice/clusterfuck route.' Just think ahead for two seconds and imagine how this plays out from a story perspective: Kayto ditches all other girls (who have serious romantic feelings for him (Asaga), he has history with (Ava)) just to have a crazy sex orgy with characters, who appear to have SERIOUS, twisted complexes and issues, all this during an intergalactic war. He'd become the biggest, fucking joke ever. A childish and pathetic starship Captain, who has no controll over himself whatsoever. Kayto had a hard time, he should at least retain an ounce of dignity. No matter how hard you tried to implement that, the conversations/interactions would always feel laughable, awkward and cringeworthy. The whole premise is retarded on multiple levels and compulsorily leads to horrible characterization. You think a love triangle is terrible? Take a love triangle and remove the arrows and you get this crap - so basically the middle part of Lib. Day in even worse. All involved characters can only lose, the story suffers, the only winner is someone who enjoys the extra explicit content. Typically someone who doesn't give a shit about the said characters and their portrayal anyway. |
